“One thing I’ve learned about this big, blue wide world is that absolutely anything is possible. Things out of the realm of possibility and the ordinary happen. They unwind from great spools of Chance, and weave into complex fabrics of wonder. To some, they happen more often, to others not at all. I’ve always been one of the former rather than the latter.

I’m still left wondering if that’s a blessing or not.

When I was younger, I was still under the impression that love was like a treasure buried in the sand, and that it was just a matter of finding the right shovel, or using the right brush, or waiting for the wind to blow just so as to uncover some golden corner which I could then dig out and polish to a shine and show off to the world.

But as time went by, I started to realize that love was a jigsaw puzzle that someone else had to help you finish. Two people would put their pieces together, and sometimes you’d have a border, or some of the middle, but very rarely would you have it all. That last vital piece that made the picture whole, like the flower’s blooming center, or the tiger’s eye.

Falling in love is like blowing glass.”
