An observation on college studying.
Cramming for tests is like building a big wobbly scaffolding of knowledge, and hopefully you have time to invest to make that scaffolding high enough and sturdy enough so that the little men in your brain can do their jobs safely and thoroughly when the testing time comes. More often than not that scaffolding collapses just after the work is done, or, for some, during, or worse, before.
