we’ll be back, just after this descent into hypothetical adulthood
2009 May 15
Rest easy Twilighters, I have not forgotten you, nor have I given up on the blog project. It’s the crazy time of the semester when it seems that all of my time is sapped doing either official business-y stuff (like, you know, graduating) or doing absolutely nothing productive and loving it (like watching The Sarah Connor Chronicles last night).
I get my college degree tomorrow, and after that will be otherwise unemployed. So, plenty of time to dig even further into this book.
Thanks for checking back. There is more fun yet to come.
Congraduations!
Good luck with the job market. I know from experience it’s a pretty scary time to be looking for work. If you aren’t on LinkedIn.com, get an account and start building up contacts/getting recommendations. Also, if your university does this, get letters of recommendation from your profs and advisors to put on file with the university. Sometimes, depending on your line of work, employers will ask for these, but they want them from the university like your transcripts. If you can get them on file now when the profs still remember you, it’s preferable.
HOW YOU LIKE-A THE GRADUATING GURL?
You know I’m good for a recommendation if you need one.
Congratulations on the graduating and good luck with the impending job hunt…
